Last Session :-(

Today we went to Cefn Hengoed School to have a look at the computer suite run by Swansea College. There were over 20 computers in a really nice room, which could be used a lot more than they are now. They are going to waste as there are not any courses run there at the moment.
This is our last session and we are upset as we would like to carry on as we have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Community Centre and Library

We had a good time down in Bonymaen taking photo’s of the community Centre and members of the community doing the silver surfers computer course, a 20 week course. We looked at the library and the computer that can be used by the public to access the internet. You don’t have to book but time is limited to half an hour if busy.

Communities First Offices

We looked at the offices in Bonymaen where there are quite a few IT facilities
available for the community to use. There is a digital archive suite, Music Project and a computer with internet access, printer and photocopier for the community to use

Over the past couple of weeks we have been experimenting with the PDA’s learning how
To take photo’s, write using Microsoft word and record sound and video. We have also learnt how to send the files to the laptop using Bluetooth.
We have enjoyed it all but in particular recording the video’s of each other doing silly things.
The game bubble breaker is very addictive and we play it every week.
The PDA’s are very easy to use.
